Description

Yamunotri is the source of The yamuna river and is home to the Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to the goddess Yamuna. The temple also houses hot springs that are believed to have medicinal properties Gangotri is the source of the Gange river and is home to the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to the goddess Ganga. It is believed that taking a dip in the holy waters of the Ganges at Gangotri can wash away sins.

Itinerary

Pickup from the Haridwar/Rishikesh/Dehradun railway station andDrive to Barkot via visit Kempty Fall, outer Mussoorie and after thatdrive straight to Barkot on arrival check in to the hotel, afterrefreshment having dinner and overnight stay in Barkot.

Drive to Jankichatti by road and from Jankichatti start 6 km of trek for Yamunotri Temple (can use also Potter, Poni, Ghori for the trek a town cost )after visit Yamunotri temple back to Jankichatti by trekand after that back to hotel by drive, overnight stay in Barkot

Checkout from the hotel and Drive to Uttarkashi. Visit Vishwanath Temple & Others. Later Check in Hotel. Rest day at leisure. Night stay in Uttarkashi. Situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected.

We proceed to Gangotri (3048 mts), enroute we enjoy picturesque Harsil village, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. After Gangotri Darshan we return to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Checkout from the hotel and drive to Haridwar /Rishikesh Railway Station. The return journey takes about 6-7 hours.
