Description

Kedarnath and Badrinath are two sacred pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand, part of the Char Dham Yatra. Kedarnath: Located at 3,583 meters, it is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas. The Kedarnath temple, built by the Pandavas, is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Pilgrims usually trek 16 km to reach the temple, which is open only in summer due to harsh winter conditions. Badrinath: Situated at 3,133 meters, it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The Badrinath temple is known for its beautiful architecture and is located by the Alaknanda River. Pilgrims bathe in hot springs before visiting the temple. Like Kedarnath, it remains open only in the summer months. Both sites offer a deeply spiritual experience amidst stunning Himalayan landscapes.
